Getting started using Blackboard
Once you have decided you would like to generate a course site of your own, follow the steps listed on this page. Please note that you must be a University of North Dakota instructor with a UND-affiliated course to request this service.

  1. Course Creation
    Complete the Request a Blackboard Course Account form. Your request will be sent to the Blackboard System Administrator who will create your course account.
    or
    Recycle Course Request
    The Recycle Course Request form allows you to recycle your course from semester to semester. Simply select the areas that you want to remove the information from by checking the box next to each area. Your request will be sent to the Blackboard System Administrator who will create your course account with the new call number.


  2. Technical Requirements
    Review the hardware and software Technical Requirements that you will need to begin using Blackboard.


  3. Browser Check
    This link will test your browser configuration.


  4. Attenda Workshop
    All faculty requesting a course account must attend the Introduction to Blackboard workshop, to receive your Blackboard account information. CILT will be offering Blackboard workshops to faculty who would like to build their course web site with Blackboard.


  5. Blackboard Instructor's Manual
    Download and review the Blackboard Instructor Manual. This manual will serve as a reference after you have attended the workshop.
